Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) Blood was collected by retro-orbital bleeding. Serum was prepared from each blood sample and stored at 80 C until analysis. Serum levels of HPA axis-associated hormones (CRH, ACTH, and cortisol (CORT)) and ovarian hormones (E2, FSH, LH, and AMH) were measured by ELISA according to the manufacturer’s instructions (Shanghai Hengyuan Biotechnology, Shanghai, China).
